New Paper on Employment Relations

The Smith Institute have recently published a paper on the future of employment relations by David Coats from WorkMatters Consulting. It argues that the UK's system is dysfunctional, leaves employers, employees and trade unions dissatisfied and is therefore in need of urgent reform.  What is needed is an open conversation about how to resolve some of the most serious problems in the world of work:  a low level of employee engagement, a high level of perceived unfairness and the absence of effective arrangements for resolving disputes in the workplace.  The full report can be found here: http://www.smith-institute.org.uk/file/time%20to%20cut%20the%20Gordian%20Knot.pdf.
